The APEL.Q Bachelor of Tourism Management (BTRM) programme aims to widen the tourism and hospitality industry’s talent pool with sub-professionals who have management and business qualifications. It also seeks to provide practitioners with diverse and interesting career prospects in related industries. This programme is particularly fitting for individuals with vast experience within the tourism and hospitality industry who seek career progression and new opportunities.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

The following briefly describes the APEL.Q processes for this programme:

Self-assessment – To ascertain eligibility for the programme, all APEL.Q prospects* are required to carry out this exercise.

Registration – Eligible prospects are then invited to register as OUM Learners.

APEL.Q Assessment – Learners will undergo the following assessment components:

  • Portfolio : 20% weightage
  • Field and Validation Visit : 20%
  • Challenge Test : 30%
  • Capstone Courses : 30%

* Prospect refers to a potential learner

FEE STRUCTURE

Programme Fees
Malaysian RM24,000
International Learner RM27,000
Self-assessment Exercise: RM150

 

Notes:

  1. A minimum fee of RM230 is chargeable upon registration, before the learner begins the APEL.Q programme.
  2. Fee for each assessed component must be paid in full before the learner may proceed to the next assessment stage (For enquiries about fee payment schedule, please email apelq@oum.edu.my).
